This provocation is really all about the shallow depth of field. I was using a 105mm Nikon at f2.8.
My awesome scrimping store and yard sale finds include ~ lots of vintage china with roses, a silver-plated serving spoon, matured jewelry box, and a 42" victorian fan made by burwood which are hard to find. All these goodies were less than $10.00!

Where can I find silverplate flatware handles made into keychains ?
Jan 22, 2007 by Jo | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
Customarily, a craftsman has the skill to take the flatware handle of a knife, spoon, or fork from silverplate and convert it into a keychain holder. The patterns of the old superlative silver (or silverplate) make this a very interesting piece. If you know where I can find these, please share! Jo

how do you clean silverplate flatware?
Jan 12, 2006 by TazPrncess | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
If it is justifiably a good piece of silver plate, do not put in dishwasher. Wash the item by hand with warm water and a peaceful dishwashing soap to remove any food and gunk that might remain from its last use. Soaking silver in water for any length of period is a big no-no. Rinse the piece well with clean water, distilled is best, and dry immediately with a soft, lint-free fabric. Use a soft cotton cloth or sponge and a good non-abrasive commercial silver cleaner or polish. Over polishing nacreous can wear down the finish though, especially on plated.
