what are some good coffee drinks that can be made in a college dorm?
Jul 20, 2008 by freebie | Posted in Non-Alcoholic Drinks
I am usual to college and will miss spending money on starbucks everyday. my favorite drinks are the frappacinos but in the morning i like mochas, cadaverous chocolate mocha, vanilla lattes. With the freshman 15 in mind i would like to use non-fat, sugar free, etc. any suggestions? plus, i will not have a stove, or a inventiveness european machine, just classic 4 cup coffee pot. please help!
Well, if you get yourself a participation-blender, you can make "frappacinos" without needing a full-sized blender. You just need the established coffee you make with your coffee pot, some ice, some milk, and you can add some of those flavour syrups (they make light version that are sugar-free). Then just use your bracelets blender to whip it up.
I also really like using a plunger when in dorm - I just boiled water in the kettle, added it to the coffee in the plunger, stir, let sit, and wager. I find it much nicer than percolated coffee.

How the heck do I use a termisil coffee pot?!?
Dec 25, 2007 by jjasminem@verizon.net | Posted in Non-Alcoholic Drinks
Ok, so I got a "wolomin termisil" coffee maker/pot/I dunno what the heck this feeling is, for christmas. I have NO idea how to use it! Its some type of european coffee maker, I think! lol It came with absolutely NO instructions, so all I have to go off of is the picture on the box... which doesnt daily help much! It has a bottom compartment that holds a tealite candle and then a glass coffee pot sits on top of that. Then there is a glass "cup" that poses as a separate I'm guessing. I think you put the coffee inside of the glass filter cup thingy and then inside the coffee pot. The glass filter cup thingy has 8 inconsequential little slits that I would imagine the water would seap thru and then start filtering back out, therefore making coffee... well, it doesnt! Then there's well-grounded a lid to put on top. So unless it takes more than two hours for it to start doing something, I'm doing something wrong. If anyone has one or knows how to use one, please help! Thanks so much!! =)
It isn't a coffee pot ... it's a TEApot!! The center lorgnette cup is for holding tea leaves. The glass decanter holds water, and the candle under the decanter gently warms the saturate to the temperature to infuse/steep the tea leaves. I *suppose* you could make coffee in it if you use the right grind. What that might be I dunno.
