Visting Viktor Schreckengost’s shelter and studio in Cleveland Heights was always a revelation.
The most famous artist-designer in Cleveland’s history, who died in 2008 at age 101, was always apt with anecdotes or observations based on his amazing 70-year career as a teacher, painter, sculptor, ceramist, naval policewoman, industrial designer and all-around Renaissance man.

Pedal cars, bicycles and even a unconfined window fan designed by Schreckengost occupied strategic positions in various rooms.
